Call for papers - Competition and regulation in network industries - November 19th, 2010 - Brussels

During the past decades network industries have been restructured to allow for more competition and involvement of the private sector. This development was accompanied by the emergence of new forms of regulatory governance in these vital sectors. Exploring the balance between competition and regulation in network industries is a fascinating field of research that challenges politics and business alike.

The conference takes a multi-disciplinary approach and explores the legal, economic, institutional and public policy aspects of this fundamental reform of network industries.

Guidelines

Please send a 600 to 1000 word proposal in a word document by 1 June 2010 to submissions@crninet.com. Indicate in the subject heading ‘CRNI conference’. The proposals will be refereed by the editorial board of the CRNI .

The proposal should include:

Title of the paper - author (postal, phone, fax and email) - Name of the author(s) and full address of the corresponding - The aim and methodology of the study - Results obtained or expected - A few keywords

Keynote speakers

In addition to the parallel sessions, the conference will have two keynote speeches by leading academics in the field of regulation and network industries.

Important dates

Deadline for panel submission: 15 May 2010

Deadline for paper proposals: 1 June 2010

Notification of acceptance: 1 July 2010

Final paper submission: 1 October 2010
